Overall, the consumption of food, drinks and tobacco reached the largest proportions of the consumer expenditure in all five countries. By contrast, the leisure and education fields in these countries had the lowest rates.
As can be seen clearly, the percentage of spending on food, drinks and tobacco occupied the bulk in Turkey and Ireland, respectively with 32.24% in Turkey and nearly 29% in Ireland. The former also witnessed the highest in the proportions of leisure and education spent at 4.35%.
